Grand Slam is nice, but Grand Slam's paint is ridiculously expensive. Also, at Grand Slam, I have found myself waiting hours on a Saturday to find people to play with.

For new players to the sport, it's a difficult decision between Vundembar and Grand Slam. Grand Slam offers much more gear available to you with the rental package, however the paintballs at Grand Slam are ridiculously expensive in comparison and they're shooting the exact same paint!! .
Also, be careful to note that Grand Slam is now closed on Sundays.

I will no longer be making the drive up to Grand Slam (1 hour drive) and will be spending the fall at Vundembar. Grand Slam is just not worth the price of gas to get up there and then when you get there, getting charged $25 for 500 paintballs can be frustrating if you don't have enough money to buy a full case.

Grand Slam - GTF Rentals (I give 'em 6/10 rating )
Vundembar - Tippmann Rentals (I give 'em 8/10 rating)

Not sure if the GTFs end up with oil in the barrel or something, but they're definitely less accurate from the moment they hand it to you.

There are a couple small white signs at the intersections, the field is clearly labeled. I found the place very easily.
Review: This place is great! Out of nowhere it appeared this summer and is definitely one of the better fields in the area. They have a compressor there for HPA and also a SCUBA tank for backup. When I arrived early around 10AM, there was a group there of about 16 people. I'd guess 8 kids and 8 adults, of varying skill and experience. I've been playing at Grand Slam for 6 months, and I've *NEVER* seen that many people on a field before during a Saturday. So I have to say, my first impressions of the field are absolutely outstanding. It was far above my expectations for a new field.

At Vundembar, they have a lot of things that some of the other fields in the area don't have, such as a compressor, a TV with instructional / safety videos, great paint and great prices. On top of all this, they're scheduling and running tournaments!

For rental markers, they've got about a dozen Tippmann Rentals shooting what I believe are 12 Oz. CO2. However there are other fields (like GrandSlam) that offer you , neck protectors, camo jackets and pants, etc. with your rental package for no additional charge.

I do have a couple suggestions for the field. The first, is WATER! A big water cooler at the field would be a huge improvement.

My second suggestion is to enlarge the safe (netted) area. It's just not big enough to fit 16+ people comfortably.

My third suggestion is neck protectors for those who get the rental package. Getting shot in the neck from close range can really hurt and the pain can be unexpected to new players.

Edit: Played on the tournament field. It's really good. Certainly big enough for 5v5.
They're doing 3-man and 2-man tournaments every Sunday at around 10AM and giving away tons of free gear. I took 2nd place with a stock Tippmann and won a free jersey!
